The BAE (Basic Adult Education) course is available to paid members of Hellenion only. If you haven’t joined yet, you can learn more about it on our membership page.
Once you’re a member, you can take part in our Basic Adult Education course easily as it is online on the Hellenion Agora.
First, members need to create an account on the Agora (Hellenion Forum). Click on the link and create an account. In a few days, our membership chair (“Xenodokos”) will confirm your membership and approve your account. This allows you to access all our member-only information, including our Basic Adult Education program.
The BAE is at https://forum.hellenion.org/bae-basic-adult-education-780615, on the Forum.
Before starting, please read the topic How to Start Your BAE Course. That will probably answer most of your questions, but if not, please don’t hesitate to post questions there.
Other things to know: You can do the course from anywhere and at your own rate. The course has no “live” sessions. Your work is not “graded”. There is no Pass/Fail. The proctor may ask you to investigate the topic more if your answer shows you have overlooked important information. You do not have to belong to a demos to take the course. If English is not your first language, feel free to use Google translate, and let the proctor know in your first submission that your first language is not English. Please do NOT use AI, as the purpose of the course isn’t completing it so much as learning as you go. You will learn much less using AI. Challenge yourself! But it’s okay to read what other’s have written and even to ask questions about or comment on their submissions.
We recommend that people keep copies of their BAE submissions.
We also recommend joining our Discord server at https://discord.gg/629Pacn2. If you’re not already on Discord, you’ll be prompted to create an account. You can join any of the live discussions there, including members only discussions and the BAE channel.
